Prama had cause to celebrate at the weekend, as their newest branch turned one! Opened during the midst of the pandemic in August 2020, the Boscombe charity shop, which is located in the Sovereign Centre, has gone from strength to strength despite the challenges of numerous lockdowns.
Shop Manager Andrew and his team have spent the past year working hard to not only keep the shop stocked with second-hand bargains, but to also grow and nurture relationships with the local community in Boscombe, with many customers now regulars.
The celebrations included special offers, birthday cake and a special guest appearance from Spider-Man.
Prama’s Chief Executive Officer, Steve Robinson, attended the event at the Boscombe shop. Steve said:
"Andrew has done a great job getting the Boscombe shop up and running, during challenging times. Everyone at Prama is so grateful for the hard work he and his team have put in, creating a fun and vibrant place to visit in the Sovereign Centre. We rely on donations to our shops to help continue running our work in the community, and our shop staff are a valued asset to our team and to the charity".
Prama have six charity shops located around the BCP and Dorset area, as well as a Premium Preloved shop in Ashley Cross, Poole, and a dedicated Furniture Warehouse in the Nuffield Industrial Estate. The shops help to raise vital funding for the charity, to help older people and carers in the local community.
